Jews arrived in the town around the same time, and the town’s handsome wooden synagogue dates from 1770. Jedwabne (pronounced ; Yiddish: יעדוואבנע ‎, Yedvabna) is a town in northeast Poland, in Łomża County of Podlaskie Voivodeship, with 1,942 inhabitants (2002).
